Atsu Didn’t Die Naturally, He Was Killed By Witches – Sonnie Badu


Ghanaian-UK based gospel artist and philanthropist, Sonnie Badu has caused a stir by revealing that Christian Atsu’s death was not natural, but was killed by witches.

Sonnie Badu posited this in response to the news of Atsu’s death, claiming that witches definitely killed him. 

The death of footballer Christian Atsu has created a sad calm across the country, as many mourn his painful exit. Many people have shared on social media how helpful he was to them and how he has been a philanthropist for many years.


Christian Atsu’s body was found two weeks after the earthquake in Turkey. According to reports, Turkey experienced one of the largest  earthquakes of 7.8 magnitude, killing over 45,000 people, including the former Black Stars player.



Atsu’s mortal remains were returned to Ghana on Sunday, February 19, 2023, Kotoka International Airport at 8 p.m., and were handed over to Vice President Bawumia.


Despite the presence of the family when government officials received the body, it was stated that the body would be transported to the 37th military hospital before being officially handed over to the family for his burial and memorial service.


In reacting to the death of Chrisitian Atsu, Gospel musician Sonnie Badu has asserted that the death of Christian Atsu wasn’t a natural death but was killed by sorceress.


He tweeted, Yaanom… nanso y3b3 kas3 earthquake..” in Ghanaian language called Twi which translates to – “Witches killed him but we will blame an earthquake,”….See his post below as you keep scrolling

In other news, video of Christian Atsu celebrating his last goal in a dressing room has gone viral after his death.


He scored his last goal on the 90th minute of Hatayspor’s match against Kimpasa, after being brought on in the 82nd minute just hours before the awful event occurred.


In the video, he was seen passionately jubilating his last goal scored for Hatayspor club in a dressing room with his mates.
