Christian Atsu Is Dead After His Body Was Found Under Rubble – Agent Confirms



 

Christian Atsu has been confirmed dead under the rubble days after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck northern Syria and Turkey, killing over 2000 people. 

On Saturday, February 18, 2023, a Turkish agent confirmed his death after his body was discovered lifeless after 13 days being trapped under the rubble.

Hellovybes reported in the early hours of Friday, February, 17, that Atsu ran to his carbefore the Rönesans Residence building collapsed during the earthquake in Turkey, per the  new CCTV footage that surfaced online.

It was also reported that the rescue team found his passport under the rubble while searching for the missing player.

However, we awoke on Saturday morning to the sad news that Atsu had been confirmed dead, which was a huge blow to many Football lovers and fans around the world.

The winger’s family and his Turkish club, Hatayspor, have yet to issue an official statement regarding the player’s death.

Christian Atsu is a Ghanaian footballer who has played for Chelsea, Newcastle, FC Porto, Everton, and Bournemouth. 

In his career, he appeared in 258 games, scoring 24 goals and assisting on 30 others. He passed away at age 31. RIP Atsu.
